I just had the pleasure of visiting the church while the banners were on display, celebrating all the beautiful work of the banner ladies in the years they have been decorating our church.
I was discussing with one of the banner ladies how many (wo)man hours were involved in the creation of these banners. The answer was not measured in hours, but illustrates the scale of accomplishment of these artists:
every Tuesday afternoon for 20 years!
It is an incalculable amount of work done to the glory of God. I was inspired to document their art here. It might compel you to come visit the church and see the banners in their 12 foot glory.
